After breakfast, we’ll depart from Mto Wa Mbu to Serengeti, a journey that takes approximately 6 hours, including all stops. As we pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, we’ll make a brief stop at the gate and viewpoint to admire the breathtaking vista of the crater for about 20 minutes.
Next, we’ll have the option to visit a Maasai village to learn about the culture of this renowned tribe. Though optional, this visit offers insight into the traditions and way of life of the Maasai people, known for their lion-chasing prowess and hunting skills. The visit typically lasts between 20 to 45 minutes.
Continuing our journey, we’ll arrive at Serengeti National Park, a vast expanse covering 14,750 square kilometers and famous for the annual wildebeest and zebra migration, numbering over 1.5 million wildebeest and 250,000 zebras. Our focus will be on the Seronera region, the heart of the Serengeti.
Upon arrival in the late afternoon, we’ll enjoy lunch before embarking on an exhilarating game drive in Seronera until late evening. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife sightings, and with luck, you may witness a predator in action or catch a glimpse of a stunning sunset over the Serengeti plains.
After our game drive, we’ll head to Serengeti Matawi Camp for dinner and an overnight stay, ensuring a comfortable end to our eventful day of exploration.
